Natursutten pacifier are made from pure, natural rubber from the tree Hevea brasiliensi.

Natursutten pacifiers are conform to the Pacifier Safety requirements by European standard EN 1400. Made in Germany.

  • No allergy causing substance (the protein that on rare occasions can provoke a latex allergy is eliminated during production)
  • No artificial color.
  • No chemicals softener; parabens, PVC, phtalates and BPA (bisphenol-A) free.
Rubber pacifier are softer than silicone, the Natursutten pacifiers are extremely hygienic because they are molded in one piece. This means there is no joints or cracks where dirt and bacteria can accumulate.

Larger shield is designed to touch babys nose, providing comfort by more closely simulating breast-feeding.

Natursutten pacifiers shield is larger than conventional shields in order to prevent babies to squeeze the flexible material enough to get into their mouth. It will also not leave marks on babies' face.

Before first use, sterilize in boiling water for 5 minutes, then allow to cool. Prior to sterilizing, you may notice a slight "rubber" smell and oily coating. This is perfectly natural, due to a film of oil from the rubber tree that preserves the pacifier while packaged, and will disappear with sterilizing. (If sterilizing causes the pacifier to turn milky white on the edges, don't worry--the color will return upon cooling.) Clean after each use with warm water and mild liquid soap. Never wash pacifier in the dishwasher.

Recommended replacement: every 4 to 5 weeks.

Which Shape Should I use?

Natursutten pacifiers are helpful in satisfying your babys need for self-soothing, while preventing possible negative effects on teeth and palate formation created by his or her thumb sucking. The rounded shape tends to work better for breast-fed babies because the tongue is positioned under the nipple as it is during breast-feeding--helping prevent nipple confusion. About 80% of babies tend to move pacifiers around in their mouths. Because the tongues position never changes, European midwives recommend starting babies on rounded pacifiers. Natursutten makes the rounded-nipple model in four different sizes to grow with your baby.

The orthodontic shape, however, is the most popular in the U.S. The tip of the nipple is slanted to encourage tongue movement against it (as opposed to under it), and the tongues pressure is directed towards the tip. For babies who are already accustomed to the orthodontic shape with the slanted nipple tip, Natursutten offers this pacifier in two different sizes.
